Managing Responsibility
We recognise that as a leading
company in the Belgian real estate market all of us at Cofinimmo
have to be aware of the impact that our activities can have on our
environment in the broadest sense. We're keen for Cofinimmo to be
involved in urban, economic and social themes.
Urban responsibility
Through our investments and
memberships of industry and public bodies such as the Union Professionnelle du Secteur
Immobilier (UPSI), the Urban Land
Institute (ULI), the European
Public Real Estate Association (EPRA), Antwerp Headquarters
and the European
Quarter Fund, we seek to play a part in the development of
towns where we are present. We support cultural, social or
architectural projects affecting the urban environment in the
Brussels and Antwerp Region.
Economic responsibility
Brussels is the home base of
Cofinimmo. We want to give an economic dimension to our activities
by actively helping to promote and develop the Region. When holding
our road shows and other presentation events abroad, we're
constantly promoting the facilities and investments of our region.
The viability of Cofinimmo is underpinned by our long-term
contracts with partners of the highest calibre, giving us
considerable stability and allowing us to conduct a long-term
strategy that benefits ourselves and the economic environment
within which we operate.
Social responsibility
At Cofinimmo we want to make a real
contribution to community life and harness our good standing for
the benefit of social and humanitarian works within the communities
we are part of. Accordingly, in 2009, we supported numerous
humanitarian and social projects such as the Fondation Roi
Baudouin, Les Petits Riens, Télévie, the Thermos campaign, the
humanitarian projects Azawagh and Samilia, and similar works.
